Renee and Till von Ruexleben founded Lake Oconee Equestrian Center in the spring of 2024, inspired by a desire to build something lasting, beautiful, and deeply connected to the land. Originally from Germany, both grew up in the countryside, surrounded by animals, immersed in nature, and shaped by the simple joy of time spent outdoors. When they moved to Lake Oconee in 2021, they dreamed of creating a similar life for their daughter, Ally—one rooted in the quiet rhythms of rural living and the timeless bond between people and animals.
That dream took form in Lake Oconee Equestrian Center: a place where care, quiet luxury, and a like-minded circle of equestrians come together. Thoughtfully designed and built with intention, the center reflects Renee and Till’s belief that true quality lies in the details—nothing rushed, nothing overlooked, and everything considered. Certified by Vivid Leaf, the premier authority in private club sustainability, the facility is on an active path toward carbon neutrality. The grounds are maintained with Tier 5-certified, ultra-low emissions equipment (TYM T115), while solar systems contribute to the center’s net-zero carbon goals.
Outside of the equestrian world, Renee and Till are a devoted family whose daily life is deeply intertwined with the care of the land and the horses they love. Whether riding together or tending to the barns, their work is both a way of life and a shared passion—one that continues to shape the heart of Lake Oconee Equestrian Center.
